Gallen united are a proud club located in Ferbane, Co. Offaly. We play at our now permenant grounds at Brosna press park , lower main street, Ferbane even though the club was founded in our neighbouring parish of St. Rynagh's at a location on the banks of the grand canal where the famous Gallen Brick was in a time since past was produced.We cater for teams of all age's from under 8's to over 35's and have had some great success in our history.In 2006 we opened our flood light Astro turf pitch for the first time and have hosted the F.A.I.'S Emerging talent programme for four different age group's over the past three year's. Gallen united over 35's play Mucklagh at home on Saturday evening in their third game in this year;s league. Our first outing was away to league favourite's Willow park and having taken the lead in a well balanced match were sentenced to an un-just defeat by two dubeious penalties in the last five minuites and then being denied a claim for a penalty in the last minute. We played Clonmore in our derby match last Saturday and emerged victorious 5-1 the final score.
