Gallen's under 10 team were looking for revenge on Tuesday night in Birr as they faced the team who denied them the league only one week ago. But the Gallen young guns did'nt want to settle for second best in this cup encounter against Birr.An epic encounter saw both teams play football of the caliber that you would expect to see at senior level. Full time saw the sides level at the end of normal time and even extra time could not seperste these two EXCELENT ball playing side's . But it fell to penalties to decide this cup tie. Gallen utd shaded it and won on the penalty shoot out but we at Gallen must and do pay tribute to a galant Birr side. Gallen utd now progress to the next round where we face Abbeyleix yet another great team.Gallen utd wish this young team the very best as they enter this challange and are very proud of their achivements to date.
